I'd argue that his lordship, Bret Favre, is giving Manning a serious run for his money with this year's MVP.
I know Green Bay fans hate him now. But I think his situation was similar to that of Jay Leno with the Tonight Show. The Packers were afraid of losing Aaron Rodgers and urged Bret to retire before his time. Much like NBC being afraid of losing Conan O'Brien to another network and asking Jay to retire/step-aside. Apparently Bret still had/has some gas in his tank.
It will be an interesting postseason.
